In this module students will learn about components of health for disease prevention and controlling community problems nationally and globally. The module will also draw attention on aspects related environmental, occupational, mental and nutritional health. Emphasis will be given to factors that focus on health of populations including epidemiology, demography and family planning. The course encourages students to develop a critical view about preventive aspects through field visits. In addition, students will also gain insight related to preventive aspects of obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics and communicable diseases.
