This unit specifies the outcomes required to
effectively hazards, and assess and control risks associated with plant and
equipment. This unit focuses on the knowledge, processes and techniques
necessary to apply a systematic approach to monitor and identify of hazards and
assess the risk arising from the use of plant, and systems of work associated
with plant. The focus is on eliminating the hazard or, where this is not
practicable, minimizing risks to health and safety arising plant.
