This course consists of lectures, tutorials (mock OSCE), workshops, and community pharmacy attachment. Students are exposed to the community pharmacy settings real scenarios. They will learn how to respond to the symptoms by learning their symptoms, diagnosis, recommending and understanding the best treatment to suggest to the patients with the emphasis on the appropriate product selection professionally. It is expected that the students will be able to recognize the commonly occurring minor ailments signs and symptoms and use an evidence-based approach to self-care treatment. It is also aimed to give more in-depth view of minor conditions and how to differentiate them from more sinister pathology that may present in similar way.
