This module consists of discussions that integrate the knowledge of basic sciences of respiratory system and the clinical aspect. The module starts with discussion on anatomy of respiratory system, followed by physiology, biochemistry and pathology. Core knowledge which includes the common respiratory illness will be discussed with respect to its symptoms and pathophysiology. The principle of management will be briefly discussed but the pharmacological aspects of the drug treatment will be discussed in detail encompassing the drugs pharmacokinetics and their mechanisms of action. Epidemiology of infective conditions and smoking-related diseases will be discussed too. Core knowledge will also be discussed in problem-based learning (PBL) sessions. Clinical skill training involves theoretical and hands-on practice on history taking and physical examination of the respiratory system.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Course core Knowledge:
