This course will focus on
the mechanism of action, pharmacological effects and medicinal chemistry of the
drugs acting on the CNS which include antianxiety, hypnotics, antipsychotic,
antidepressant, antiepileptic, antiparkinsonian, drugs for Alzheimer and
migraine as well as general anesthetics, local anesthetics and opioid
analgesics. The pathophysiology of diseases involving the central nervous system
will also be discussed.
