Pharmaceutical Analysis II (Analytical Chemistry II) is a collection of analytical techniques that allows exact laboratory determination of the composition of a given sample of material. In this course students will be introduced to various types of spectroscopic and spectrometric  analytical techniques, which is the study of the interaction of electromagnetic radiation with matter both quantitatively and qualitatively. The use of analytical sciences in particular spectroscopy in the discovery, development and manufacture of pharmaceuticals is wide-ranging. From the analysis of minute amounts of complex biological materials to the quality control of the final dosage form, the use of analytical technology covers an immense range of techniques and disciplines.
