This course offers a thorough understanding of the fundamental knowledge of the basic sciences of the human reproductive system in relation to the clinical discipline of obstetrics and gynaecology. The course will start off with anatomy and how it correlates with the clinical conditions of the reproductive system. Students will then be taught on the general physiological aspects of the male and female reproductive system, focusing on the physiology of pregnancy and puberty. Concepts related to reproductive physiology such as early menopause, infertility, contraception, hormonal therapy, the pharmacological management of uterine bleeding and drug teratogenicity willl also be discussed.
