Laboratory sessions are
designed to relate the Biology 1 course contents and to introduce to students the proper techniques in conducting various
biological experiments, proper scientific recording of data and formal presentation
of results. Practical work in Biology Lab 1 falls into four categories; direct
observation, dissection, microscopic study, and experimental work. The
laboratory component comprises of several experiments which will complement materials and topics taught
in Biology 1 .
