This course is a Mata Pelajaran Pengajian Umum (MPU) subject, which was
introduced by the Ministry of Education aims to make improvements in the
structure of compulsory towards improving the quality of human capital inline
with Pelan Strategik Pengajian Tinggi Negara (PSPTN). In addition, the MPU aims to
produce graduates who are holistic and patriotic. Also, the course aims to
enable the students to master the soft skills required in order to fulfill the
marketability of work.
The main objective of
this course is to give students an understanding of the basic elements of
Malaysia. This course will help foreign students to explore more about
Malaysia’s culture, beliefs, food, arts, and lifestyle.
This subject also helps foreign students to feel welcome in Malaysia and thereby reducing feelings of being neglected.
