This course is a Mata Pelajaran Pengajian Umum (MPU) subject, which was introduced by the Ministry of Education aims to make improvements in the structure of compulsory towards improving the quality of human capital inline with Pelan Strategik Pengajian Tinggi Negara (PSPTN).
In addition, the MPU aims to produce graduates who are holistic and patriotic. Also, the course aims to enable the students to master the soft skills required in order to fulfill the marketability of work.
This subject explores the historical development of our country, the government systems, nation’s unity, constitution, democracy, government policies and current issues.
The objective of this subject is to produce citizens with identity, increase patriotic sentiment and responsibilities as Malaysians amongst students.
Besides contributing to the development of the nation, this course also builds awareness among citizens to defend the country from any threats and challenges from within or outside the country, which may impair the country.
