The general basis of pharmaceutical biochemistry is discussed in this module. It deals with bioenergetics; nomenclature of enzyme and their functions and classification; structure, function and metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins and their interrelationships. We will also discuss about their metabolisms and clinical biochemistry of nutrition; and lastly the basis to molecular genetics, diseases related to genetics, DNAs and RNAs, and other parallel topics.
